Here is a shot I took out with our new camera at work. It’s a Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm kit lens. I shot it in NEF format, which actually took me a little while to figure out how to open up on my iMac. Photoshop wasn’t able to read the file appropriately so I had to download GIMP to do so. But the original version that I donwloaded opened up very small, low resolution thumbnails or something. I had to download a different version that included the UFRaw plugin for GIMP and then it worked fine. They are large files to work with, so they take a little time to process, but I think it’s worth it in the end. I think these files are sharper than the camera-processed JPEGs, but maybe that’s just me. I know these will be better for any printing I do. Again…hope you likey! Let me know what you think.
